£480 + VAT All Roebuck, Fallow buck and Muntjac buck FREE
During a double stalk session, it is during the rut in late July to early August that Roe stalking is at its very best. What’s more the long-awaited Fallow Buck are also back in season. There is no doubt that this is a high point in the stalker’s calendar and to celebrate, the club will be holding a special 'double stalk event' during the height of summer, at our grounds in Hampshire.
In the words of the great Richard Prior; “Deer are predictably unpredictable” and so to maximise your chances, we have arranged a double session, with one stalk session after lunch and another in the evening after coffee.
To kick the afternoon off in style, members are invited to meet at the award-winning Wellington Arms in Baughurst, Hampshire for lunch followed by an insight into some of the techniques involved in Roe calling. Members will then be exquipped with a 'Buttalo call’ and the opportunity to put their skills to the test at calling and ‘grassing’ a buck.
After a late afternoon stalk session, it’s back to the Wellington Arms for Coffee in the garden before the commencement of the second evening stalk session.
Experience tells us that that is not only the Roe that respond to the call, with inquisitive Fallow and Muntjac, (both also now in season), also often being drawn to the ‘peep peep’ of the Buttalo.
