We reckon that hunting lowland Red deer in Exmoor is possibly one of the most exhilarating hunting experiences that you are ever likely to encounter. Hearing the ‘bellow’ and ‘roar’ of one of Exmoor’s giant Reds as it reverberates around the forest, is an experience likely to stand your hair on end!

There is just one chance this year to enjoy the closing days of the autumn rut, during the season for both Stag and Hind, whilst the deer are at their most active and vocal.

Known as Exmoor Giants, the Red deer of Exmoor are widely recognised as the largest deer in the UK. During this thrilling trip, just three lucky rifles are invited to hunt in the Exe Valley near Tiverton, Devon where the stalking is excellent.

Members retire after the evening stalk to a lovely nearby hotel for dinner, before getting up early the next day for an early morning stalk, a return to the hotel for breakfast and departure.

For those wishing to travel by rail, collection can be arranged from Tiverton rail station which is less than two hours from London and just ten minutes from the hotel.
