William The Conqueror came to The New Forest and named the area his 'new hunting forest', for those that love their woodland stalking, there is still no better place to do it than in the ancient New Forest.

Every stalker wants to get out in the autumn to experience the pinnacle of the Fallow Rut and this is a perfect opportunity to expereince the rutting activity at its height, in one of the UK's most productive and ancient Fallow grounds.   

This fabulous overnight trip, during the peak of the rut, is a stalwart of the Capreolus Club diary. There are no limits on the number of deer that you can shoot and all prickets (1st year Fallow Buck) are just £95-00 per animal. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast are also included.

Members are invited to take position in a number of strategically placed high seats for an evening hunt for Fallow deer, before retiring to the historic 'Chapter House' in Salisbury for an all-inclusive evening meal and wine. After a sound night’s sleep in one of the hotels excellent rooms, members are out early for a further morning stalk, followed by a first-class breakfast upon return to the hotel and departure.

These short trips always prove popular, with two hunts, delicious food & wine, and a good night’s sleep, during the optimum time to hunt. 

The location is just one and a half hours from London and requires less than 24 hrs out of busy schedules.
